2025 RACE DETAILS

When is the 100% Pure Kona Coffee Run?

The race is on Saturday, November 15, 2025. The Half Marathon starts at 6:00 a.m. The 5k starts at 6:15 a.m.

How do I enter the 100% Pure Kona Coffee Half Marathon?

ONLINE: Registration for the run will be online at Chronotrack until Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at midnight.

Can I do late registration?

Registration will be available in person only, on Friday, November 14th from 10a.m. to 6p.m., in front of Big Island Running Company at Coconut Grove until slots run out.

Where can I pick up my packet?

Packet-pick will be on Friday, November 14th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in front of Big Island Running Company at Coconut Grove Marketplace in Kailua-Kona. You can have a friend pick up your packet for you.

Can I get a refund or transfer to another year?

No, entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

When does the finish line close?

There is a 4-hour time limit for the half marathon so all runners must be finished by 10:00 a.m. or your finish time will not be counted.

Where can I find results?

Results will be posted in real-time on jtltiming.com. We will also update the website as soon as possible with the results.

Do I get a medal for finishing the race?

We do not give out traditional medals but all runners will receive a finisher’s coffee mug!

What is the course like?

The 100% Pure Kona Coffee Run is located on Ali’i Drive. The course runs along the Pacific Ocean. The half marathon course is an out and back course with rolling hills throughout. Near the halfway point for the half marathon is a climb nearly 200 feet in elevation.

The 5k course is mostly flat with a few rolling hills.

How many aid stations will there be?

There will be 4 aid stations on the course for the half marathon. As the course is an out and back, runners will pass all aid stations twice.

The 5k will have one aid station.

Will there be pacers?

YES!! This year, we will have pacers for the following finish times: 1:40, 1:50, 2:00, 2:10, 2:20, 2:30.

Will there be music on the course?

We will have DJ Henny in “The Pit” again this year, dropping beats for all of our hardworking runners.

 What is the weather like on Race Day?

Temperature at the start can be as low as 70 degrees but will likely climb to the mid 80’s by the 10:00 finish. Kailua-Kona is known for being sunny and warm. Don’t forget to check the weather forecasts prior to the race and make sure that you are drinking adequate fluids leading up to and on race day.

Where are the cheer zones?

We have two cheer zones this year for family and friends to cheer on their runners! The first is at La’aloa Beach Park and the second is at “The Pit” located at the “End of the World”.

Is there a bag drop?

No.

Where is the best place to park?

There is limited parking at Coconut Grove Marketplace. We will validate for 5 hours on race day. Please carpool if you are able to. And if not, please show up early to ensure you get a spot.
